Day 01 – Delhi
On arrival at Delhi Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for check in. (Check in time is 1 PM). Afternoon for a familiarization of Delhi. Overnight at hotel
Day 02 – Delhi – Udaipur (By Air)
Today you will be transferred to Delhi airport to board your flight to Udaipur. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Udaipur is known as 'The Pearl of Rajasthan', the 'City of Sunrise' and 'Venice of the East'. We have a free evening to relax in the hotel.
Day 03 – Udaipur Sightseeing
Today we visit the City Palace - a fascinating collection of buildings built by various Maharanas (Warrior Kings) after Udai Singh and completed in the year 1725. The magnificence of the Palace starts right from its entrance at the northern Tripolia Gate that brings us to the central courtyard, the best place to view filigreed balconies & ornate cupola-topped towers. We also visit Jagdish Temple; an Indo-Aryan temple built in the year 1651 CE by Maharana Jagat Singh. It is the largest and the most beautiful temple in Udaipur. In the afternoon we visit Sahelion ki Bari (Garden of Maids of Honour), an ornamental garden built by Maharana Sangram Singh for his daughter and the ladies of the Queen's court. He built the garden with several fountains and pools and is decorated with chiseled pavilions and elephants. The fountains work on the unique hydraulic technique devised in the year 1700 CE and continue to function even now. Late afternoon, we enjoy a beautiful sunset view on Lake Pichola, 4km long and 3km wide, surrounded by hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and embankments.
Day 04 – Udaipur – Ranakpur – Kumbhalgarh (140Kms/4hrs)
Today we leave for Kumbhalgarh Enroute visiting magnificent Jain temple at Ranakpur which is famous for its architecture. Built in marble the temple complex is a famous place of pilgrimage for Jains. After the visit, we continue our journey to Kumbhalgarh, a small place at the foothills of Aravali Range of mountains. In the afternoon we visit the Kumbalgarh Fort, a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills.
Day 05 – Kumbhalgarh – Pushkar
After breakfast we drive to Pushkar - a small town located on the edge of the desert with a tranquil lake, small hills with temples on top and the world famous Brahma Temple to boast of. We arrive in Pushkar and check into the hotel. Rest of the evening is free to explore the local market.
Day 06 – Pushkar Exploration
Early morning we start with a hike to Savitri Temple. Situated on the peak of Ratnagiri Hill, the Savitri Temple is dedicated to Savitri, Lord Brahma’s consort. The temple houses the statue of Goddess Savitri and offers scintillating and panoramic views of the surroundings, including the sand dunes of nearby villages and of the Pushkar Lake. Later we make a visit to the Brahma Temple and the Sacred Lake. This is an important pilgrimage spot for the Hindus as it is the only temple of Lord Brahma in India. Lord Brahma is known as the creator of the world as per Hindu mythology. Evening is free to explore the local bazaar of Pushkar.
Day 07 – Pushkar – Jaipur (145kms/3-4hrs)
Today we drive to Jaipur. Popularly known as the Pink City, Jaipur is the colorful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich cultural heritage and colorful past, it is one of the most important heritage cities in India. The city was established in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the then ruler of Amer. Also known as 'The City of Victory', Jaipur was the first planned city of its time with imposing forts, dazzling palaces, beautiful gardens, lakes and markets. Upon arrival we check-in to the hotel
Day 08 – Jaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast we drive to the ancient capital of Amer, 11 km from Jaipur. Famous for its massive Amber Fort, Amer was the ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries. We head to the Fort situated on the hill. Having appreciated its beauty and captured that in our cameras we visit City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Next, we visit Jantar Mantar, a Solar Observatory built in the 18th century; an astronomical treasure house that measures time according to the movement of the Sun to an error of just 2 seconds with solar devices that give accurate astrological predictions as well till date. We also visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storied facade of pink sandstone. It was built in the year 1799 to allow royal ladies to watch processions and other the festivities on the road through its 953 ‘jharokas’ or small windows without being seen by the public
Day 09 – Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (260kms/5hrs)
After breakfast, we drive to Agra. En-route we visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted royal city Constructed by the Mughal Emperor, Akbar. This impressive and well-preserved fortress served as the political capital of Akbar from the year 1571 until 1585 when he had to abandon this palace due to dearth of water. From here we continue our drive to Agra, a busy city situated on the banks of river Yamuna. We spend the evening visiting the bazaar where some descendants of the families of artisans (who worked on the Taj) continue to create wonders with marble called the fine marble- inlay work
Day 10 – Agra Sightseeing
Today the Taj Mahal goes off our bucket list. Excited to be there we wake up early to visit, at sunrise, this magnificent monument in pure white marble. Taj Mahal, a symbol of eternal love, stands on the southern bank of River Yamuna. It was built by the 5th Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in the 16th century CE. The charisma of the amazing Taj Mahal never fails to leave a first time visitor, spellbound. Today we also visit Agra Fort, a blend of different types Rajput and Mughal architecture. An artwork originally belonging to the Rajputs got renovated from time to time by different Mughal emperors with red sandstone, bricks and the beautiful marble from Makarana. The Fort can more accurately be described as a walled palatial city. Rest of the evening is free.
Note: Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday.
Day 11 – Agra – Delhi (220 kms/4-5 Hrs)
Today we leave for Delhi. Afternoon, we visit the walled city of Old Delhi; crowded, full of activity and still influenced by the great Mughals who once ruled from the ramparts of the majestic Red Fort. Here we visit Jama Masjid - the largest 17th century mosque in India, Chandni Chowk - the typical Indian market always abuzz with activity, and Rajghat - the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi (also called the 'Father of the Nation’).
Day 12 – Delhi – Cochin flight
Today, you will be dropped at Delhi Airport to connect your flight to Cochin. On arrival at Cochin Airport, you will be met & transferred to your hotel. Day to relax after long flight. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 13 – Cochin
Morning, after breakfast, proceed for a village backwater Cruise with lunch. Afternoon back to Cochin for sightseeing. Evening visit Greenix Theatre for a kaleidoscope of various art forms. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 14 – Cochin-Munnar (4 Hrs)
Morning, after breakfast, proceed to Munnar, known as nature lover’s paradise. You will drive through Midland crops like Rubber, arecnut, pineapple etc. Afternoon free for walking around. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 15 – Munnar-Chinnar
After breakfast at the Hotel, go for a full day guided trip to Marayoor & Chinnar. This trip will be a mix of a walking safari through Chinnar National Park, trekking in Dry Forest, tribal village visit etc. Traditional lunch will be provided at the village. Return to Munnar for overnight stay.
Day 16 – Munnar
Full day guided Tea Trail experience. You will be driven to a Tea Plantation to go with the workers to pluck the tea leaves and you will go through the whole process of making tea. In between our Naturalist will give you short Nature walks through the tea plantation. Lunch will be served at the Estate Bungalow. Finally you will taste your own tea and will take home half kilo of Tea as memory of your day experience. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 17 – Munnar-Kumarakom (5.5 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom, which is famous for its backwater & scenic beauty, sprinkled with traditional houseboats, country crafts, rural lifestyles and Tranquility. You may opt to go for a rejuvenating Ayurvedic Massage. Also you go for a village walk through the nearby villages. Overnight at the Resort.
Day 18 – Houseboat
Enjoy your breakfast at the resort. By noon the Houseboat will pick you up from the resort jetty for a cruise through the backwater villages followed by overnight stay on board. Your meals are cooked and served on board. Explore the amazing backwater life of Kerala! Overnight at the Houseboat.
Day 19 – Alleppey – Marari Beach (1 Hr)
Enjoy your breakfast on board. Later, checkout & drive to a heritage home in Alleppey for a cookery show followed by lunch. Later proceed to Marari, a relatively quiet beach paradise of Kerala. On arrival check in at the resort on the Beach. Rest of the day at leisure on the beach. You may opt to go for an Ayurvedic Massage or a village walk. Overnight at the Resort.
Day 20 - Marari
Full day at the resort. Marari Beach is an endless vista of sand and surf, but it is more... An authentic experience of Kerala's traditional fishing villages, and a re-creation of an ancient, harmonious way of life. You may opt to take an Ayurvedic Massage… Visit the fishermen villages. By evening it may interesting to visit the local temple to watch the local crowd coming for worship and socialization. Overnight at Resort.
Day 21 – Marari Beach
Full day at leisure on the beach. Overnight at Resort.
Day 22 – Cochin Departure (2.5 Hrs)
Like all good things, your holiday experience comes to an end but you will always carry with you memories of this unique and unforgettable experience. Today, you will be assisted and transferred to Cochin International airport for your flight home!!
